8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

Who: All 8th grade students
Time: Ceremony begins at 9am. Gates open 8:15am

Tickets:

Students will receive 2 guest tickets (all 8th grade students will receive their tickets on June 5th pending ALL SEMS instructional items have been returned, including but not limited to chromebooks, chargers, textbooks, novels, fees etc.)

The promotion will be LIVE STREAMED on our website

The tickets indicate which side you will be seated on. Please adhere to these seating allocations. You have been seated on the side closest to your student’s row for better and closer viewing.

Guests must have a ticket to enter the Promotion Ceremony.
What time should I arrive?

Students will arrive as normal and go to their 1st period class.

Guests will be allowed to enter the field starting at 8:15am. The ceremony will start promptly at 9am. No tents, umbrellas, balloons, or other items that obstruct views will be permitted.

Please avoid arriving early, as school drop-off is still in progress at SEMS and SEES. It is suggested to arrive after 8am when drop off traffic has cleared.

Students need to leave their phones with you or at home. They are not to have phones or any personal items with them at the ceremony as we want them to enjoy this time with their classmates.
Where do I enter?

Guests will enter the field gate on Schoolhouse Way.

Please have your ticket ready when you arrive at the gate. You will only be allowed in with a ticket.

Parking: Parking is extremely limited near and around the school. Please plan on carpooling or using ride sharing (Uber, Lyft, etc.) services, if possible.

Permitted disabled parking will be available in the SEMS lower parking lot.

The SEMS main parking lot will not be available for promotion guests.

Please sit on your designated side.
What happens after the ceremony?
