Principal's Message

Hello SEMS Families,

We are extremely excited to welcome our ‘Golden Eagles’ back to the nest on Tuesday, August 16th. Classes will begin at 8am with gates opening at 7:15am. Students who have not picked up their textbooks, Chromebooks, schedules etc., may do so from the library beginning at 7:20am.(bell schedule). Students will need to show their I.D. (found on StudentVue) or use their I.D number to

collect their items. (If students received schedules during VIP, please check StudentVue for any changes). Please note, only staff and students are able to access the campus due to increased safety protocols and procedures. There will be plenty of staff and campus supervisors on site to

direct and escort students if they require assistance.

As part of our school-wide vision to connect and strengthen relationships between students, staff and the learning, our theme this year is to DO YOUR BEST, RESPECT THE NEST. In essence, it’s about making positive choices within the classroom, at school and within the community. We are excited to see our ‘Golden Eagles’ not only meet but exceed these expectations on a daily basis.

The entire SEMS learning community are partners in the success of each and every student at SEMS. To help guide and shape your student’s success, please take a moment to speak to your child about the vision and review the behavior code in the parent handbook. We have a wonderful community, amazing students and highly skilled and professional staff all working collaboratively to

ensure our students ‘do their best’ each and every day.

The school website is an amazing resource full of great information about upcoming events, contact numbers/emails and general school information for your reference. If you need assistance, please email or call the front office and they will be able to guide you to the right department and/or person. I also encourage our families to support our amazing PTO who provide extra funding to support our students and staff. Information about the PTO can be found on our school website.
