Show Information

We are so excited to announce our Spring Musical: Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. We are so excited to bring this classic tale to the stage! Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who feels out of place in her provincial French village. When her father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her capture by the Beast, who was long ago trapped in his gruesome form by an enchantress. The only way for the Beast to become human once again is if he learns to love and be loved in return. The Beast’s enchanted household–populated by such beloved characters as Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Chip–watch anxiously as Belle and the Beast grow to understand and befriend one another. Their feelings grow ever deeper as the clock ticks and petals continue to fall off the enchanted rose–will they confess their love for one another before it is too late?

CAST LIST

Thank you to all who auditioned! We had such a fun time casting this show and also a very hard time, as there are so many talented students at SEMS.

If your number is on the cast list, congratulations! Please look through the cast list carefully. Many numbers are listed more than one time. Our first rehearsal will be Monday, October 9th from 2:30-4:30 in the PAC. We will see you there!

There is also a Mandatory Parent Meeting following our rehearsal from 4:30-5:30. Please have one parent or guardian from your family attend. We will send out an email Sunday with additional information.

If you are not cast in our show, we are so sorry that we could not cast everyone. We are so proud of you for coming out and giving it your best. We know it takes a lot of courage to audition for a show, so please know that just because you are not in this cast does not reflect in anyway on your talent or efforts, it just means for this one show, the director saw someone else who fit the part better. We really encourage you and hope that you will try out again next year! We do have opportunities on our stage crew which is lots of fun, too. Interviews for our stage crew will be in February. Please check back on our website in January for more information.
