Students who maintain an Honor Roll GPA (3.5 - 4.0) during each semester they attend SEMS will receive a President's Education Awards Program Outstanding Academic Achievement Award at our SEMS 8th Grade Promotion ceremony.
How to Calculate Your Grade Point Average (GPA)
Your grade point average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the number of classes taken. Your grade point average may range from 0.0 to 4.0.
A = 4 grade points
B = 3 grade points
C = 2 grade points
D = 1 grade point
F = 0 grade points
- Plus (+) and minus (-) have no value (A, A+, A- each = 4 grade points)
- P/NP (Pass/No Pass) courses are not factored into a student's GPA.
- I (Incompletes) and W (Withdrawals) do not receive grade points and are not factored into the GPA.
Calculate your GPA:
- Add your grade points
- Divide your total grade points by the number of classes in which you received a letter grade
