Track & Field Basics

What do you do in Track and Field?

1. We will stretch, do drills, run and work on what events you are best suited for and then practice, practice, practice.

2. Wear shorts, t-shirts (no spaghetti strap shirts), running shoes, good socks, sunscreen, and a hat if need. We encourage you not to wear your PE uniform. In the past students have forgotten to bring PE uniforms back to school and have received non-suits. If you do wear your PE uniform you must be responsible to bring it back to school for PE class. Coaches are not responsible for your PE Uniforms.

3. Bring a healthy snack and plenty of water. Hydration is very important.

4. Meets will start after school around 3-4 pm and end as late as 6:30 pm.

5. During meets you are able to participate up to 2 running + 1 field event + a possible relay. Or 1 running + 2 field events + a possible plus a relay.
